Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

Nairobi to Nanyuki

Begin your adventure with a departure from Nairobi at 09:00 hours. Journey through the scenic landscapes towards the slopes of Mount Kenya, crossing the Equator. Arrive at your Nanyuki hotel in time for lunch. Enjoy the breathtaking views and relax with a scenic dinner and overnight stay in Nanyuki, acclimatizing to the altitude.

Day 2 :

Nanyuki to Old Moses Camp

After breakfast, transfer to the Sirimon Park Gate to start your 5-hour hike to Old Moses Camp (3,300 meters). This trek passes through lush tropical rainforests and bamboo forests, providing an immersive experience in Kenya’s natural beauty. Enjoy all meals and overnight camping at Old Moses Camp.

Day 3 :

Old Moses Camp to Shipton’s Camp

Post-breakfast, embark on a hike to Shipton’s Camp (4,200 meters), which takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. The trek brings you closer to the summit, offering spectacular views of the north faces of Nelion Peak and Batian Peak. Experience the stunning scenery and overnight at Shipton’s Camp, renowned for its dramatic mountain vistas.

Day 4 :

Shipton’s Camp to Point Lenana to Mintos Hut

Rise early at 2:30 am for a pre-dawn climb to Point Lenana (4,985 meters). Reaching the summit in the early morning provides a clear view of the stunning sunrise and panoramic mountain scenery. Afterward, descend to Mintos Hut for an overnight stay, surrounded by tranquil landscapes.

Day 5 :

Mintos Hut to Chogoria Bandas

Descend leisurely to Chogoria Park Gate (3,020 meters) for an overnight stay at Chogoria Bandas. This area offers spectacular views of the Gorges Valley, Lake Michaelson, and Vivienne Falls, with vistas of Ithanguni Peak, Rotundu Peaks, and the Giant Flat Top Kilingo Hill Table.

Day 6 :

Chogoria Bandas to Nairobi

After breakfast, continue your descent to Chogoria Town for transfer back to Nairobi. The journey from Chogoria Gate to Chogoria Town takes 3 to 4 hours through beautiful bamboo and tropical forests, offering chances to spot wildlife such as white-tailed mongooses, elephants, black rhinos, Columbus monkeys, Suni, and duikers.
