Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

Nairobi to Nanyuki

Begin your journey from Nairobi at 09:00 hours, heading towards the cooler slopes of Mount Kenya. Cross the Equator and reach your accommodation in Nanyuki in time for a delicious lunch. Enjoy the breathtaking views and take the afternoon to acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay at a comfortable base hotel in Nanyuki, offering a perfect start to your Mount Kenya adventure.

Day 2 :

Nanyuki to Met Station

In the morning, organize your trekking equipment for the Mount Kenya ascent. After lunch, drive to the Naro Moru Track road head and arrive at the Meteorological Station. This altitude of 10,000 feet provides an excellent opportunity for acclimatization. Enjoy a short afternoon hike to further adjust to the altitude, ensuring a smoother trek ahead.

Day 3 :

Met Station to Mackinder’s Camp

Hike through the Teleki Valley to reach Mackinder’s Camp, renowned for its panoramic views of Mount Kenya’s main peaks. The trek covers approximately 4-6 hours, ascending to an altitude of 14,000 feet. Overnight at Mackinder’s Camp, surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of Mount Kenya’s highlands.

Day 4 :

Mackinder’s Camp to Point Lenana to Nanyuki

Start your day before dawn to make a successful summit bid at Point Lenana. Aim to reach the summit for a spectacular sunrise view of Mount Kenya’s majestic scenery. After taking in the breathtaking vistas, descend back to base camp, then continue your journey down to Nanyuki for an overnight stay.

Day 5 :

Nanyuki to Nairobi

After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive back to Nairobi, with a scenic lunch en route. Arrive in Nairobi by the afternoon, concluding your unforgettable 5-day trek on Mount Kenya’s Naro Moru Route.
