Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

Nairobi to Nanyuki

Depart from Nairobi at 09:00 AM following a hearty breakfast. Drive towards Nanyuki with a notable stop at the Equator line, a fascinating landmark for photos and insights into the geographical significance of Kenya. Continue to Nanyuki town for lunch and spend the afternoon acclimatizing in preparation for the hike. Enjoy a comfortable dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Nanyuki, setting the stage for your Sirimon Route trek.

Day 2 :

Nanyuki to Old Moses Camp

After breakfast, transfer to the Sirimon Gate to commence your ascent. Hike through the lush vegetation to reach Old Moses Camp at 3,300 meters. This section of the trek typically takes 5 to 6 hours. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Old Moses Camp, nestled amidst the serene mountain environment. The climb up to Old Moses Camp offers splendid views and a chance to acclimate to the higher altitude.

Day 3 :

Old Moses Camp to Shipton's Camp

Following breakfast, continue your trek from Old Moses Camp to Shipton’s Camp at 4,200 meters. This part of the journey involves 5 to 6 hours of hiking through varying terrains. Upon arrival, settle in and prepare for an overnight stay at Shipton’s Camp, where you’ll be surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Mount Kenya. This camp provides a perfect vantage point to prepare for your summit attempt.

Day 4 :

Shipton's Camp to Point Lenana and Return to Nairobi

Rise early at 2:00 AM to begin your ascent to Point Lenana, reaching the summit at approximately 3:00 AM. This early start ensures you can witness a spectacular sunrise over the Kenyan highlands. After taking in the panoramic views, descend back to Shipton’s Camp for breakfast. Continue your trek down to Sirimon Park Gate where your transfer will await to return you to Nairobi, arriving late in the afternoon. The journey concludes with a sense of accomplishment after conquering one of Kenya’s most iconic peaks.
