7 Days Safari- Mara & Abadares

Day 01: ARRIVE JKI AIRPORT    –   NAIROBI HOTEL
Met and Greet on arrival at JKI Airport in Nairobi where you will be met by our Representative .You will then be transferred to the hotel in Nairobi city for overnight. Lunch and Dinner on own arrangement.

Day 02:   NAIROBI   –    MASAI MARA
07.00hrs;    Buffet breakfast at the Hotel
0730 hrs;   Morning drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s finest and best known game reserve. This journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley View Point  where you will have a stop - over for a photographic session.    Descend to the floor of the Rift Valley and continue driving towards The Maasai Mara
1300 hrs;   Lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge or Similar
1600 hrs;    Afternoon game viewing drive. The greatest attraction in the Mara is watching the animals in their natural element; a lion's roar, a cheetah making a kill, and the big elephant herds are all very fascinating events. This is the traditional land of the Maasai people, nomadic herders who choose a traditional lifestyle and who are permitted to graze their cattle in the area. A proud and largely aloof tribe who have held on to their customs and traditions for hundreds of years.The park's habitats include the forests along  the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, acacia forests and open savannah.

Day 03;  DAY IN MASAI MARA
0600 hrs; You will be woken up this morning to a lovely African sunrise and at the lobby coffee, tea and cookies will be ready for you.
0630 hrs; Drive off to another adventurous safari drive in search of wild animals. The early mornings and evenings are the best times to watch the big cats hunt - the lion, the cheetah and the leopard. At these times the most glorious sunrises and sunsets are observed.
0830 hrs;  Return to the lodge for a full buffet breakfast. Morning at leisure
1230 hrs;  Lunch will be served in the restaurant after which the guests will have time to rest before the evening safari.
1600 hrs;  Afternoon game viewing drive in search of more wildlife including the "big five" The big five are the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and the buffalo.
1830 hrs;  After the game drive you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 04;  MASAI MARA – LAKE NAKURU  NATIONAL PARK
0700hrs;   Buffet breakfast at the lodge.
0800hrs; Morning drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a fantastic bird sanctuary, its shores populated at times by more than one million flamingoes. The famous ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson defined it as "the greatest bird spectacle on earth".
The fortunate sentence has now become a cliché and is used up to fed-up-ism for promotional purposes. This is the second most accessible park, since Nakuru is the fourth city in the country and the head town of the Rift Valley.
1300hrs; Lunch at Lake Nakuru  Lodge or Similar
1530hrs; Afternoon game viewing drive in the park. This is Kenya's first rhino sanctuary. The Rothschild giraffes have also been rehabilitated here at a time that they were endangered. Day 05;  LAKE NAKURU – ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK
0630hrs;     Buffet breakfast at the lodge
0730hrs;    Drive off to the Aberdare ranges. The drive is very scenic and offers memorable photo opportunities. The Aberdare’s are the third highest range of mountains in Kenya, reaching a summit of just over 4000m. This massive range is well known for its thick salient forests, and their prolific game. It is an important water catchments area and indeed throughout most of the year it gets rain and mist.

After lunch you will be transferred in hotel vehicles to The Ark or The Tree tops hotel.
Afternoon tea and coffee at a tree hotel.
The Ark is set in thick woodland at the heart of the Aberdare National Park and is designed with numerous viewing decks, balconies and lounges that allow you to watch animals visiting the waterhole and salt lick. NB: ONLY SMALL OVERNIGHT BAGS ARE ALLOWED TO TREE HOTELS. THE OTHER LUGGAGE WILL BE STORED AT BASE HOTELS. CHILDREN LESS THAN 7 YEARS OF AGE ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE TREE HOTELS.

Day 06;  ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK    –     MT.KENYA
0630hrs;    Buffet breakfast at the Ark or Tree tops
0730hrs;     Morning transfer by hotel vehicles to Aberdare Country Club to rejoin you driver guide and retrieve your stored luggage.
Drive to the Mount Kenya region.
1230hrs;     Lunch at Mount Kenya Safari Club or Serena Mountain Lodge
Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the amenities offered by the hotel.

Afternoon transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight or have a beach holiday in the palm fringed beaches of the Kenyan coast at extra cost.
