6 Days Safari - Naivasha & Mara

Day 01;  ARRIVE JKI AIRPORT    –   NAIROBI HOTEL
Met and Greet on arrival at JKI Airport in Nairobi where you will be met by our Representative .You will then be transferred to the Hilton Hotel www.hilton.com in Nairobi city for overnight. Or Intercontinental Hotel or Sarova Stanley Hotel or Southern Sun Hotel Mayfair        
Lunch and Dinner on own arrangement.

Day 02;  NAIROBI   –    ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK
0630hrs;     Buffet breakfast at the Hotel
0730hrs;    Drive off to the Aberdare ranges. The drive is very scenic and offers memorable photo  opportunities. The Aberdare’s are the third highest range of mountains in Kenya, reaching a       summit of just over 4000m. This massive range is well known for its thick salient forests, and their prolific game. It is an important water catchments area and indeed throughout most of the year it gets rain and mist.
1300hrs;  Lunch at the Aberdare Country Club www.fairmonthotels.com. Or Similar
1400hrs;   After lunch you will be transferred in hotel vehicles to The Ark or The Tree tops hotel
Afternoon tea and coffee at a tree hotel.
The Ark is set in thick woodland at the heart of the Aberdare National Park and is designed with numerous viewing decks, balconies and lounges that allow you to watch animals visiting the waterhole and salt lick. A ground level viewing area provides excellent photographic opportunities and a floodlit waterhole allows all-night game viewing.

NB: ONLY SMALL OVERNIGHT BAGS ARE ALLOWED TO TREE HOTELS. THE OTHER LUGGAGE WILL BE STORED AT BASE HOTELS. CHILDREN LESS THAN 7 YEARS OF AGE ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE TREE HOTELS.

Day 03;   ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK – LAKE NAKURU – LAKE NAIVASHA
0600 hrs;    Return for breakfast at the Outspan Hotel or Aberdares Country Club
0830 hrs;   Departure and we will circle the Nyandarua, or Aberdare ranges, to the north. Crossing the Equator, a brief stop-over gives us the opportunity of visiting the Thompson’s Falls, in Nyahururu, the highest town in Kenya. We proceed in a north westerly direction to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the alkaline Rift Valley   lakes and a fantastic bird sanctuary, its shores populated at times by more than one millionflamingoes. The famous ornithologist Roger Tory Peterson defined it as "the greatest bird spectacle on earth". The fortunate sentence has now become a cliché and is used up to fed-up-ism for promotional purposes. This is the second most accessible park, since Nakuru is the fourth city in the country and the head town of the Rift Valley.
1300hrs;     Lunch at Lake Nakuru  Lodge or Similar
1530hrs;     Afternoon game viewing drive in the park. This is Kenya's first rhino sanctuary. The Rothschild giraffes have also been rehabilitated here at a time that they were endangered. You are almost certain to see the most elusive of the cat’s family, the leopard
1730 hrs    After the game drive you will depart early evening drive to Lake Naivasha area for dinner and overnight. Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge.

Day 04;  LAKE NAIVASHA  -   MASAI MARA  GAME RESERVE
0700hrs;     Buffet breakfast at the lodge.
0800hrs;     Departure and drive to Masai Mara, Kenya's finest and best known game reserve.
1230hrs;     Buffet lunch at Mara Sopa lodge or Similar
The Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge is a first class lodge built in African architecture and with a lovely swimming pool and other amenities.
1600hrs;      Afternoon game viewing drive in the Reserve.
The greatest attraction in the Mara is watching the animals in their natural element; a lion's roar, a cheetah making a kill, a leopard with its kill high up on a tree, and the big elephant herds mingling freely with other plains game are all very fascinating events. There are very high chances of seeing all the 'big five'. This is the traditional land of the Maasai people, nomadic herders who choose a traditional lifestyle and who are permitted tograze their cattle in the area. A proud and largely aloof tribe who have held on to their customs and traditions for hundreds of .The park's habitats include the forests along  the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, acacia forests and  open  savannah.
1830hrs;      Return to the lodge

Meals: FB –Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 05;  DAY IN MASAI MARA
0630hrs;    Early morning game viewing drive in the rolling hills, woodlands and rivers that make up the Mara in search of more game. The animals are more active at this time of the day.
0830hrs;      Return to the lodge for breakfast.
Morning at leisure to relax by the pool.
1230hrs;     Buffet   lunch at the lodge or Similar
1600hrs;     Afternoon   game viewing drive in the reserve in search of more wildlife.
1830hrs;     Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Overnight:  Mara Sopa Lodge or Similar
Meals: FB – Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 06;   MASAI MARA – NAIROBI - DEPART
0700hrs;      Breakfast at the lodge.
0800hrs;      Depart and drive to Nairobi.
This drive takes you through the floor of the Great Rift Valley and past the escarpment where your driver guide will stop at strategic viewpoint for photography. Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be transferred to the airport for your international departure flight OR enjoy a stay at the coastal beaches of Mombasa at an extra cost.
